Hi,
I’ve been encountering a a trouble when the machine tries to set the chain length in order to attached the sled.
When I try to extend the chain for the left motor, the result is an alarm message and I can’t go further for the left motor.
To adjust the right motor there were no issues. I have the latest firmware for the arduino and groundcontrol 1.12
Can you help me please?

This is a new feature in 1.12 that we will probably need to fine tune. Sorry for the trouble!

You can disable that popup by changing the value of the position error limit under **Advanced Settings** to be something large (like 200)

Before you do that, would you be willing to attach your log file so that we can see what is going on? It will help us fix the issue so that no one else runs into it.

Embarrassingly I’m not sure on Mac. It should be in the same folder in which Ground Control is installed.

Can anyone else point us to the right place for the log file on OS X?

In OSX the log file is in /Applications/GroundControl.app/Contents/Resources/yourapp/log.txt
In the Terminal, this line will copy it into your home directory:

> cp /Applications/groundcontrol.app/Contents/Resources/yourapp/log.txt ~/log.txt

It looks to me like the alarm is working normally, and we may just want to slow down how fast the chains extend

I’ve also run into this same issue using the most recent build 1.13 (May 10). I can send my log file, but I can’t upload it as I’m a new user. Attempting the Advanced settings & recalibration now.
