I’ve been struggling with my Maslow for several weeks now, but I’m giving up!
At first, I thought the concept was original, with an installation that took up very little space. The community seems active, the leader is very active, and updates are frequent.

I applaud the work of its creator and the community for the work they have done.

But the machine is definitely not ready yet.

I’ve lost count of the number of calibrations I’ve done, the number of belt extensions/retractions I’ve performed, and the number of crashes I’ve encountered:

- “fitness” calculation running indefinitely / more than a full night
- machine crashing during belt extension or retraction (process stops and connection to the machine lost)
- belts that do not all extend to the same length
- crash during gcode execution (gcode stops and connection to the machine impossible)
- gcode stops executing (the machine simply stops moving and waits for commands…)
- Gcode running strangely: only Z commands, no X/Y movement
- Machine commands no longer responding (after clicking the stop button or even at other times)
- “Stop” command not stopping Gcode execution
- Machine “scratching” as it moves, creating waves in straight lines…
- etc…

I tested many firmware versions, up to the latest: 1.13b.
All in vain… I haven’t been able to cleanly cut any of my projects.

Here, for example, is the feedback from my last test, which crashed:

I don’t see anything unusual here?

I may come back to it in a few months.

Good luck with the development.

I have another machine of the same type, a little more traditional but working perfectly: MPCNC v1e. I’m going to switch to their LowRider version.

That will be a more predictable/reliable system. just watch the weight on the
rails to make sure you don’t have flex there.
