I used to have a radial arm saw. A family member donated it as they felt it wasn’t being used. Not having $900 to replace it, I needed something to rip and divide material.
I found this at Lowes for $119. For me it gets the job done. Rated for 1.5 inches / 38.1 mm for cutting wood - it will do a 2 x 4 the small way. It’s essentially a Jigsaw upside down in a slick package. The only design flaw no cord management.
It is a good minimal saw. I got extra blades with it. It is not a arm saw or a chop saw, but will be very useful to me. I may just add a fold out bench and store it on the back of my Maslow.
