I picked up some 4x4 plywood that used to be shipping crates. Its 16/17th thick. Was thinking of making the Roxanne chairs from open desk. Will this work? i believe the pockets are designed for 3/4 plywood.

With a different thickness you will have to go through the process using a CAD program to adjust the files (where the pieces need to fit together) for the thickness of your material. Then it should work.
