Trying to calibrate my machine again today. One unsuccessful attempt and the following happened when I hit retract all to ready for calibration round 2 of the day. Thanks in advance. Love the machine just trying to work it out. Log attached

Blinking red light. Will not clear. Powered up and down numerous times. I was trying to retract to go for another calibration attempt. As soon as I hit retract the red light started blinking and I cannot get that cleared.

Hmmm I don’t see any errors in the log.

Can you try running the self test by pressing Setup → Test? That should tell us where the issue is

I’ll do that tomorrow afternoon. I’ve shut everything down. I’ll send the log tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

Alright. So I powered back up, connected to my machine this afternoon and still had the blinking red light. Hopeful I guess. Selected the test button and had a warning and alarm for top right motor not found. I disconnected, powered down and switched the top right with the bottom right (motor cables only), powered back up and reconnected. Same blinking red light and same warning and alarm. Top right motor not found. Serial logs attached (each time I selected the test feature). If this is a control issue??? I have already have one ordered and in transit. Thoughts?

What that error message is telling us is that the controller isn’t able to see the top right motor.

Basically the way it works is that the controller sends a quick spike of voltage to the motor and measures the current that the motor draws and compares it to the expected value.

What we’re seeing is that it’s not detecting the motor (basically like it thinks nothing is plugged in there).

This is excellent testing. That is what I would say to do next. Swapping the motors and seeing that the issue stays with the same plug on the controller board is strong evidence that it’s an issue with the board.

Does the connector that the motor plugs into look fully soldered on the bottom?

I’ll take a look see tomorrow afternoon. My current knowledge of good or bad soldering is pretty basic but I’ll check. I do have a board already in transit so hopefully it will get here soon and I can get back to trying to calibrate. Thanks for the quick reply.

Pictures attached. Nothing appears to look bad with solder. That I can tell. As far as wiggly or loose, delicate electronics always seem that way to me.

I can’t remember if I already sent you a replacement board, but if not I just DMd you a code for one.

I haven’t seen a board fail in that way before but there is a first time for everything!
