Started cut... hit stop button... how to get Z position back to Z Home?

I started a job and realized the bit was plunging when I didn’t want it to so I clicked Stop. I tried to hit the Z-up button to get the bit back to normal so that I could start cutting a corrected job file. The Z up button decided to not move the Z value at all and instead released tension. I created a separate message on the forum about that issue.

But now I’m just trying to get my Z axis back up. How am I supposed to do that if the Z up button doesn’t do what it’s supposed to? I tried restarting it. This did not help.

Thanks for any ideas.

Firstly, I suggest you update to V1.20, looking at the other post you are on V1.15. There have been some major changes to how Stop works since that version.
Did you get an alarm?

at one point we had a nag in there if you there was a new version available. It
got removed for being too annoying during development. Do we need to dust it off
and figure out a way to add it back but limit it to not be too annoying?
