Why? "Encoder I2C error -103 on Bottom Left"

so i have been getting an “Encoder I2C error -103 on Bottom Left”

After this, the maslow stops working

I tried swapping cables (power cycling inbetween)

no luck

and when I swapped where they connect, I got “Encoder read failure on Top Left”

anyway

how can I wiggle my way through this pickle???

while cables were connected to the right ports

cancel this topic as well

turns out the 8th power cycle is the charm

That issue is usually a bad connection, it might be that just jiggling the wires fixed it, but that’s not a long term solution.

currently up against a problem when one of the belts extends 1cm then locks in place

probably similar cause

what do you recommend I replace?

Which belt is it that is doing that? Is it the bottom left? My first instinct would be to just unplug that cable and maybe blow on it and put it back and see if that fixes it

turns out after replacing the cable

I put it in with a twist

so it wasn’t turning the magnet spindle
