Hi All,
I have used a CNC mill for some time, and whilst tolerances were higher than what is asked of the Maslow and target materials, there were some simple automations that made calibration easy (er).

For Z calibration, a conductive plate (e.g., brass) with a known thickness was used, with the cutting bit (router bit for Maslow) connected to a wire (could be a probe), and the system lowered the Z axis until continuity was detected. The system, based on the known thickness, can calibrate the router bit to the top of the work material

Not sure if the mainboard has an extra port/connector that the software could address to facilitate this / typically, it would need a 2-wire connector

Yup. Discussion here [Aux1 pin output](https://forums.maslowcnc.com/t/aux1-pin-output/25615)

In mazlow the metal is just under the sled at zero height. Thickness doesn’t matter
