I am a mechanical engineer who focused on electromechanical systems while in school which involves software, electrical, and mechanical design. I spent 1 year after college working for a company doing assembly design for CNC manufacturing; this is what inspired me to dive into this project. For this company, I did all of the design from concept to tool pathing while working directly with operators on things like setup and the details of different behaviors. While there I successfully transitioned from their current software (at the time) to Autodesk Inventor + HSM which required manual editing of the post processor provided by autodesk for our machines. Since then, I have moved on professionally and now use Fusion 360 for 3D modeling and until now mainly 3D printing. I am excited to get started tool pathing with fusion 360 for my Maslow and look forward to seeing what the current post processor has to offer. I hope I am able to offer my skills to contribute to this project in the near future.
