you don’t need to go the full radius of the frame, just a few inches (4 or so)
is enough.

All you have to do is look at the videos of the M2 and this version and its clear to see the differences. I just purchased the M2 in Sept of last year, but after seeing the Kickstarter for this version I became like a kid in a candy store chomping at the bit to purchase one of these when it became available.

The first set of fingers are free, replacements tend to cost a lot and don’t work as well.
