Base orientation

so I’m finally ready to get my 4.1 up and running. A simple question-will it work better on a vertical or horizontal orientation. I have space for either. Thanks much

I recommend horizontal if you have the choice. It’s easier to place plywood to cut and the machine doesn’t need to fight gravity which helps

I just tried both with the same project and the same frame and horizontal was much easier for placing work and setting up the machine and I think the weight helped with a cleaner cut. Changing bits was easier in vertical but otherwise horizontal was better for me

Initially mine was horizontal, then vertical (due to losing original work-space), then horizontal again. Definitely prefer horizontal.
