Frame options for backer and top rail

Is there any problem using strand board (sheathing) for the backer board. It much less expensive.

I also bought a ten ft. Unistrut to use to make a stiffer top rail. Now I wonder if I should use it alone or attach it to the 2x4 top rail.
I am doing the bolt together design

Osb will work fine.may dull your bits a hair faster, but will be fine to use.
