I don’t remember if it was very shallow or with no bit in the sheet at all. I do remember stopping my attempt due to some sort of observation. After 10 months hibernation I’m back and might try it again to give better answers.
Edit: The 2 posts I could find are related to AMP and that is not allowed in this post (joke)
Speeds: Currently the max feed is limited in the software to 800mm/min (~31 inch/min)
Reason 1: We don’t have acceleration / deceleration planing in the software yet. Imagine a sudden change in direction and the sled ‘swinging’, spoiling the cut.
Reason 2: We have tested 1000mm/min (~39 inch/min) and found problems that at the top of the sheet, where the motors are under the most load, one motor pulling, can not keep up the speed of the other motor feeding out the chain. The result on my Maslo…
I see, well v0.68 limited the feed rate 635, v0.76 limited it to 900.
On my own rig, using $15=900 made the horizontal cuts near the top of the sheet good, where using the EEPROM default of 1000 gave me cuts similar to the problem in your pictures.
Maybe try using the ‘$15=900’ macro to see if that makes a difference, back it down to 850 or 800 or so to find the speed limit on your setup?
I have 10A and guess I did not try after that.
