Draw-wire sensors are a low-cost, low-complexity, high accuracy method to measure distance and triangulate x/y position. A current kickstarted CNC project called “Goliath” uses this system to achieve 0.1 mm accuracy. I propose developing a similar system for MaslowCNC.
