Releasing the opposite belt in the direction opposite to the direction of movement

hi, after about a week I took the maslow out of the box and I want to cut something on my part.

when cutting I was struggling with the problem of insufficient belt tension, always opposite to the direction of travel. see photo.

Also when I look at the resulting cut when using the ramp for tool insertion, it gives me the ugly beginnings of the groove.

Maslow after repair and loosening the coils reliably retracts the belts, I tried to increase the retraction force to 900, the calibration was 600. Maslow cut to the brim nicely and accurately.

I don’t understand what happened when it only stood for a week

Opposite corner being loose could be more the other 3 being over-tight.

What version of the firmware are you on, and do the belt anchors rotate freely?

It might make sense to start by investigating stuff to do with Z-travel.

The main first point - have you accounted for material and spoil board thickness vs when you did the calibration?

Also it can be worth re-setting Z-stop (not Z-home), though unless you manually adjusted the Z-steppersat some point it’s unlikely to be this.

hello. look at my last topic. where I cut everything to my satisfaction. it just worked and I cut. now after a week I will pull it out. I will set up a 28mm work. plate. I do not use offsets. my anchors are at the height of the coils. and I am experiencing a misalignment and inaccurate plunge of the cutter

I think that this is probably the smartest first thing to look at. Basically just lower the z-axis all the way down and press the “Set Z-Stop” button to let the machine know where it is. It’s possible that something led to that home position being off.

Which firmware version are you on?

To reset the Z stop without pulling out the router bit, lift the Maslow on a couple of blocks of timber so the Z axis can go right down. You can Release Tension and disconnect a belt so you can lift it up without strain while adjusting Z stop

Hello,

Basically just lower the z-axis all the way down and press the “Set Z-Stop” button to let the machine know where it is.

and where is Z stop located? Is that a different button than z-home?

I have never adjusted it before.

Is it related to the working thickness? I set it to 28mm based on the material on the non-slip mat.

It would have been set when you did Find Anchors, but sometimes it gets lost.
Under the setup menu and yes, it is a different button. Just below Release Tension
