I just picked up my 4.1 kit and all 8 rollers have magnets preinstalled. Should I face the extra magnets away from the encoder board to keep them far from the sensor?

I don’t think it would matter, but it won’t hurt. Just so the magnet end next to the sensor is correct.

You can rotate them to be away from the sensor, you can also pop out the extra magnets using the Allen wrench to push them out from the other side.
