thanks again , now I wonder how to store the unit, do people just leave it hanging on the board slack, or taught or taken off the frame?

can you shut it down and leave it hanging slack without recalibration

can you shut it down and set it aside without calibration.

im just trying to understand where the unit is when its idle and how to get going quickly again after I sort out dust collection

you only need to do another calibration when the frame changes

I usually either leave it hanging and powered on or take it down and retract the belts all the way for easy storage.

You won’t need to recalibrate, but you will need to extend the belts again after powering off.
