so when i connect to the maslow and it still says extended or ready to cut do i have to check the offsets or set the z stop and home or is the fact that the status is not unknown proof that it hasn’t crashed and it is still okay to cut if it was the last time i was using it
Yes, that means the system has done a self check and confirmed that everything is good.
There will be a double check when you press “Apply Tension”. The machine will take one final measurement and check that measurement against its internal world view to make sure everything lines up. It won’t let you start cutting unless it’s all good.
