The files for both are available and if you can make the board and order the parts and know how to use a soldering iron, you could save a few bucks.
unfortunantly, shipping a small priority mail box to Canada from the US is $35
shipping from the post office (a medium box is $70 shipping)
within the US, these are $7 and $10 for comparison
this makes the $50 shipping not insanely unreasonable.
