After 18 attempts I got it above 0.4 and I’m calling that a win. I passed .4 a few times early on but that was before I set the threshold to .4, then it was a struggle to get back to that value.

That means that you are seeing an error of a bit over 2mm in the anchor
positions, which can translate into an error in the 4mm range in your cut in
some places.
this may or may not matter for what you are doing, but if you do a calibration
again, can you record a video of it so we can see if we spot anything going
wrong?
