Maslow 4.1 Upgrade drive gear offset and extra bearings after build

Hello, is there a rule of thumb for setting the drive gear offset on the motor shaft? I offset the gear a tiny amount (business card thickness) to not interfere with the plastic belt holder.

Also, I ended up with two (2) extra bearings after the build. Is this the correct number? I noticed that I put one on the motor side of the belt casings by mistake on the original build and didn’t really count the number supplied in the 4.1 upgrade kit. Thanks!

I think that a business card thickness is ideal, but I usually just let mine rest against the plastic because it’s easier to assemble.

Yes, this is correct. We need 28 for the build, but they come in packs of 10 so rather than split up a pack and risk having the wrong number we gave everyone two extra
