Maslow 4 Alternate Spindle Lock

I had a problem with the existing spindle lock getting in the way when tightening or loosening bit clamp, so I redesigned Bar’s solution. This sits flush with the bottom of the lower clamp and gives more space for spanner access.

Ian,

Thanks for the model. Is this for the 4.1? I printed it and the router spindel lock just digs into the ramp of the 3D printed part.

Thanks

It is the same for both versions. You put it at angle then press up as you turn the spindle until it locks. I’ll video installing it to demonstrate. When I printed it I used 100% infill with PLA

Thanks for the reply.
Mostly thanks for the video. I had the tool rotated 180 degrees with the arms under the router.
I feel like such an idiot.
Thanks again

Glad it works for you

Just tried this one! It’s much easier to seat than the original button pusher! Not to mention it makes its own remove before running flag, especially in bright orange. If there was ever to be version 1.1, I might include a hole hole in one of the wings to make it easy to hang on a nail.

Thank you so much for making this one! Requires way less thumb strength. If anybody’s wondering if they should 3D print this one. The answer is yes.
