Great choice! I use mine all the timeā€¦but almost always while testing new things in the firmware which turn out to be bad ideas :stuck_out_tongue:

Try it regularly is my recommendation, but obviously with a ā€˜testā€™ cut.

Itā€™s also just nice as a power button. Thatā€™s how I turn my machine offā€¦although I guess it goes to sleep automatically if you arenā€™t using it so thereā€™s really no harm in leaving it on.

Plus they look cool! (And there is nothing wrong with looking cool). Nothing says cool machine more than an emergency stop button.

Guess, Iā€™m not cool as I just use a light switch as my emergency stop.

with the maslow 4, you recalibrate every time you hook up the belts, so hitting
the big red button doesnā€™t hurt nearly as much as with the earlier ones.

I have ordered some emergency stop switches. Wo dering how they are integrated with maslow4. Do theet cut all powrr to cnc. Or integrated unto software. So work can resume if desired. I sm guessing just place on extension cord and plug cnc into the cord with switch?

I plan to hard wire it inline to a plug socket, which the extension for the router will be connected to.

Iā€™m planning on mounting horizontal so the socket would be above with a lead hanging, connected to the Maslow. The emergency stop would be far enough away that itā€™s easily accessible if something happened, so probably on the nearest wall.

My ā€œestopā€ for my Maslow Classic cuts power to both the circuit board and router.

I have my router, computer, circuit board etc plugged into a multistrip that sits next to my computer, and that multistrip is plugged into a UPS. Where I am at in Orlando, we get a lot of power outages and fluctuations and the last thing I want is for the machine to abruptly shut down in the middle of a cut.

This is how mine works. There is a pause button on the UI which will let you pause the cut if you just want to adjust something and resume it. The E-stop button is there so I can hit it if something goes really wrong.

This is exactly how mine works.
