Wooden Frame Questions

Hi Maslow fam! I recently built the wooden frame (https://www.maslowcnc.com/wooden-frame) and attached the spoil board, but how do you recommend attaching a project panel to the frame when positioned vertically? Has anyone completed this frame and added a lip of something that supports the work piece material? What have you used?

If you’re going to be cutting the same thickness I’d put a wood lip under the spoil board edge attached to the frame. If you’re cutting different thicknesses I personally installed some house door bolt locks under the spoil board so I can side the bolt in and out of the way to set the workpiece on initially while I attach it to the spoil board. I use normal drywall screws along the edges to attach the workpiece to the spoil board. I have and am still entertaining a plastic pin nailer instead but haven’t made the decision yet. I am vertical about 20 degrees but my frame is a modified Maslow default. My spoil board is in its own frame so it can rotate down as a work table. My shop is space challenged so I have to make things multi use if they have to be permanently attached.

Thanks for the insight. I did not realize before reading your comment that i should probably attach the project board to the spoil board with screws. I added a 2x4 as a lip and it worked perfectly for a 3/4 spoil and anything on the front. I appreciate the reply @Bryan1
