Hey everyone. In the ever growing flaws in this machine, is there reason why only one z axis would work and not the other? I was barely able to get a complete calibration cycle yesterday. I turned the machine on today to try to cut something and only one stepper motor on the z axis turns. The machine wasn’t touched until this bootup so I don’t know what’s the issue at this point? Any ideas?

There are two common causes.
-
the motors aren’t quite aligned, losen the bolts holding them and see if that
works. -
there was a batch of boards that had one chip not soldered down correctly.
@bar is replacing the boards as people run into grief. Switch the Z motors and
if the problem moves to the other motor, contact @bar and he will send you a
coupon code to order a replacement board
