80/60 Frame Preliminary Build Manual -

All,

Here is the build manual, it is designed in imperial / mm. This is an unfinished copy. I haven’t re-read it, spell checked it or finished all the millimeter conversions. I will be changing it. (finishing it)

I wanted to get what I have out for people to get a feel for what the build is like and what to expect.

I’m open to input but I’m swamped working on all of this. The version is marked Preliminary Vol 0.8

Version 1.0 will be the final draft.

Here is the current copy.

This is a ~170mb file - it was 13% uploaded after 3 min - I decided to put it elsewhere so as not to lock up peoples PC when they clicked here to read this.

Now I need someone to design a file to cut my top skirt at 1,3,6,9,12,24,36,48,60,72,84 & 96 inches. That way I can use it as a quick 8ft (2440 mm) measuring stick.

Thank you

The 80/60 Manual is updated and available here

Question about the skirt, how do you handle the spoil board, or do you just not use one?
Thanks

So you have a few options - It is designed to not use one with 3/4 plywood. To use 1/4 inch spoil board under 1/2 inch material and a 1/2 spoil board with 1/8 material and so on.

You could fir out the skirt on “shims” the same size as the spoil board you want to use. I designed it knowing I mostly plan on using 3/4 or 1/2 plywood. I think that describes most small furniture projects.

This is a great content contribution to the community.

FYI I was able to compress the PDF from 126mb to 3.4mb via: https://smallpdf.com/compress-pdf

That is a great contribution as well - I need to look at that.
