Has there been any thought to a G41/G42 Preprocessor for Ground Control? I have used several CNC controls that used this approach. The main one was the Burny series of controls for oxy/fuel and Plasma cutting. Their history goes back a number of years to before the PC and preprocsessing was a way to get better functionality without having to put more processing power in at run time. The current version of a Burny is PC based and it still preprocesses the CNC file so G41/G42 work, along with being able to travel the path in reverse. By doing this a program would be much easier to write, and tool diameter changes would not require recreating the whole program.
