During development of a project I used multiple temporary exports within molecules to build step files to prove concepts.
Previously only the final level exports were displayed as options to export at the final page.
Now I get all the exports I used in the project, even after deleting the export within the project, at the run menu, some of which are irrelevant or wrong.
How can I delete the exports I don’t want?
I have worked out what I did and it is not a problem with Abundance but a problem between chair and screen.
Explanation:
While I was developing various parts of a relatively complex structure, I was creating exports in various modules up to 5 levels for testing. As the export automatically takes the name of the module by default, and molecule names were often initially the same as their parent, this resulted in exports which were deep in the structure and made invisible by an export with the same name at a higher level.
I then gave the exports at the top level more meaningful names and suddenly all the “buried” exports appeared in the run level.
Just had to find and delete all instances of exports not required.
We also just changed the way that exports work, it used to be that only ones at the top level would show up in run mode, but now it shows all of them.
The reason for the change was that for complex projects it’s not reasonable to export everything at the top level because it was getting too cluttered.
I am not 100% sure this is the right way either so I’m open to suggestions for how to do it better.
