Huh, yeah, it switches back to G2 when it reaches the bottom of the hole and doesn’t need to make Z moves anymore. You can see it here in this code, where it first reaches Z-18, then it does that “finish” pass:
If it doesn’t cause any actual issues with cutting, then this type of operation should work. We may want to try to clean up the post a little just for the graphical issues in GC.
