3 bit changes. I need to start working on auto zaxis zeroing next I think.
What types of bits did you use? I may not be ready for branching out into different bits yet, but hopefully someday.
1/2 in straight
1/8 in straight
1/4 in spiral
Thanks!
Looks great! Nice job on the painting too.
I know it doesn’t seem like I have done anything useful with my Maslow yet, but I have spent some significant time with it. I will just mention my method for bit changes and keeping zero. I use nylon shaft collars and a “calibrated” block to set my bit length. When I switch I just drop the new bit in and go again.
Looking good! I like the foot for scale. I would have had no idea how big it was otherwise
Looks very sharp
did you cut 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 in order? was there enough material removed by the
1/4" to be worth it? or would you just go from the 1/2 to 1/8 if you were to do
it again?
I played around with it in makercam. Tried 1/2 to 1/8 but there were bare spots so I tried 1/2 to 1/4 and it missed the tight corners so I ended up using all three.
Can I see what this Calibrated block looks like?
