Cutting thick materials?

I was thinking of using the maslow to profile a 2x4 for a mounting bracket for another project , but I cant find any bits that would be deep enough to go all the way through. Are there any bits that are long enough to still have a decent amount inside the router collet and be able to go 1.5 inches deep into the material?

if you go for 1/2" shank bits, you can git bits with up to ~3" cutting length
(plus the shank to hold them)

your bigger problem will be the Z axis travel to run them.

you can get them almost 3 inches long from china.
a 1.5" one 42mm is about $7.70
