I am at the first stages of assembly and wanted to try the floating pin fix on encoder boards but as I was preparing I noticed the cap on one board was dislodged. On closer inspection it looks broken from impact.
This is a resold M4 kit, so it shipped twice but was still packed/original in box.
First is the broken C1, then closeup, and last is a good board for ref.
It can be repaired but I haven’t worked on components this small. Is it possible to to get new encoder boards if I make an attempt and mess up?
