I just finished the assembly of my Maslow 4 and frame. The frame is the standard wood 10 x 8. I tried many times to retract all and then extend all, but the resulting amount of belt that is extended leaves the sled a little high on the centered 8 x 4 board and I am able to hook the top left, top right and bottom right anchors but then I bottom left belt is always a finger’s length too short to connect it’s anchor. What can I do to get it to let out a little more belt to I can get all anchors hooked up and move on to calibration?
What did you enter in the config dialog when setting up? 3048 x 2438 or so? It should send out plenty of belt to reach beyond whatever anchor points are entered.
I was never prompted for the dimensions. I did notice that the the maslow.yaml file contains the following values:
Top left corner of frame. nominally 0, height
Maslow_tlX: -27.6
Maslow_tlY: 2064.9Top right corner of frame. nominally width, height.
Maslow_trX: 2924.3
Maslow_trY: 2066.5Bottom left. Nominally 0,0
Maslow_blX: 0
Maslow_blY: 0Bottom right. Nominally width,0
Maslow_brX: 2953.2
Maslow_brY: 0
you should have been prompted for a size when you did the calibration, and those
values look like a calibration was done.
@bar??

Hi David,
Thanks for your reply. I have never gotten through calibration. Calibration requires retraction, so I retract all. Then I extend all. The lower-left is not quite long enough to connect to the anchor. When I used a zip tie to connect the last anchor and tried to calibrate, I got a Frame Size error. What can I do to make Extend All extend more? Do I mess with those maslow.yaml position values?

when you tell it what size frame you have, tell it that the frame is a bit
larger.
extending a belt will do bad things.

I should do that within the values that I mentioned above in the maslow.yaml file? Or is there somewhere else I need to input the dimensions? Please forgive my noob questions. I’m new to Maslow 4, but very enthusiastic about what I will be able to do once I get it going.
when the calibration screen pops up, it asks you the frame size, that is where
you would enter larger values.
If you are having a problem after calibration is complete, that is a very
different issue.

Thank you, Bar!
I’m running around this week but will be able to try that when I’m reunited with my machine on Friday.
