Title: Find Anchor Locations fails at Waypoint 0 with “Unable to determine machine position” — belts confirmed fully extended
Body:
Running Maslow 4.1, firmware v1.24.0-dirty. Just relocated my frame from a countertop to floor mounting, redid all settings for the new anchor positions, and can’t get past the first waypoint of Find Anchor Locations.
What I’ve done correctly (confirmed via log):
• Retract All completed successfully with all four corners pulled tight:
• Top Right: offset -1176.809
• Bottom Left: offset -1176.219
• Bottom Right: offset -1185.419
• Top Left: offset -1177.432
• Extend All completed — log confirms “All belts extended to 1347.000mm”
• Physically pulled all four belts by hand until the cooling fan stopped
• Attached all four belts to anchor points
• Applied Tension
• Config values: Extend Dist 1347mm (measured diagonal ÷ 2), Retraction Force 900, Spoil Board Thickness 12mm, Work Thickness 6.35mm
• Z Home freshly reset to 0 with router at true physical bottom
The failure:
Every time I run Find Anchor Locations, it measures Waypoint 0 (sometimes Y=1.607, sometimes Y=0.000, once Y=ovf/overflow), then immediately logs:
That “dirty” firmware flag and the ovf/overflow reading at Waypoint 0 stand out. First I’d flash a clean tagged v1.24.0 rather than the -dirty build to rule out a local code state issue. The intermittent Y values including overflow suggest a sensor or calibration read fault, possibly a belt not fully seated on an encoder. Worth re-checking each belt’s guide and that no slack crept in after tensioning. Post your full log for the anchor step.
