Full size Santa Sleigh

Hi,
I used:
(3) 4x8x3/4 sheets of baltic birch ply
(36) m8x100 furniture barrel bolt/nut (hex head)
From what I remember, my biggest hurdle was getting everything aligned and making a barrel nut jig that was true in all planes. Good luck on the project!

WOW! Your sleigh looks amazing! I have alwasy wanted a sleigh our neighbors can take pictures with. One of the reasons I bought the M2. I can’t wait to start projects. This is goign on my list. Thanks for sharing.

Hi I am keen to know what dimensions you made this please. I am having a sleigh laser cut and made for my Santa Photography business in our local Shopping Centre and It needs to be big enough to hold the big Man himself!
Look forward to hearing suggestions

Load the .svg files in inkscape or illustrator. Scale at will. Find out what file format the laser-cutter needs and convert the scaled .svg to that format.

Hey Clint, awesome work!
Do you happen to have a cut list for the center section of the sleigh?
Also, do you have a picture of your jig for the barrel nuts?

Thanks man

Can you email me the plans? goodeemily0@gmail.com

could you please send me plans for this? spdingo12@aol.com

I’m cutting this now, but I kept getting errors at these sharp turns. I kept getting “Sled not keeping up” errors and had to manually advance it to the next gcode line to get it to continue. I had to do this for every pass. The main outline is cutting good though. How can I correct this for future cuts? Slow the travel speed down?

Did you up the position error limit in webcontrol (sled error tolerance) from 2 to 20?

I did not. I will try that and report back. Thank you.

Would you be willing to cut the pieces and ship them? If so, could you give me a rough estimate?

Hi, can I please ask for the design aswell?

Email hiddencustoms.woodworking@gmail.com

do you mind sending it to me also

Could you possibly send the specs to me as well? We would LOVE to build this for a community event coming up… Thank you so much for your hard (and beautiful) craftsmanship, and for sharing!

Sorry, forgot to add that we are cutting it as well.

Thanks for sharing this, I made a slightly modified version last year and it’s been a great hit with the kids in the neighborhood.
