Lead screw nuts location unclear. Can someone help?

Hi,
In the online instructions it seemed to me the lead screw nuts would be attached in the bottom side of the uprights (the side nearest the collet) but in this pic from the same install guide later I see them on the top (yet still inside) the uprights closest to the control board end of the router.
I moved mine to the location in this photo from the site.
Is this correct? Where do they belong?
Thanks all.

given the standard screw lengths, having the heads below the nuts will give you
a few mm more Z travel. If you get/make some shorter screws so that they don’t
go below the leadscrew nuts, you would gain a few mm mnore by putting the nuts
below the arms.

Hi, my question isn’t whether the nuts go in the inside or outside of the vertical column. Question is if the lead screws attach to the top of the column AKA The End closest to the control board, or the bottom end nearly level with the collet end?

Sorry if I’m not clear, trying to do this from a mobile device. As soon as I’m home I’ll post another photo clarifying the question. Thanks.

Which location for lead screw nut(s)? I know they reside within the vertical column.
A poorly made picture is worth at least 500 words.
Location A. or B. ?
Thanks!

they go on the end closest to the steppers

Wow, if that is true Maslow should remove the photo with the caption “Place the main controller board on top of the router and plug in the four motors” on the Assembling the router — Maslow page as it is assembled incorrectly and should not appear anywhere on the site where it could be potentially used for reference of the device completed to the phase indicated in the text.
I will now disassemble the device and reassemble. 3rd time is the charm.
Cheers-

I think you are right that is very confusing. Seems like that part of the series of pics all have the same mistake.

Glad I wasn’t the only one with this question. I was all ready to finish my assembly and I kept thinking. How in the hell does the Z axis work with those short stepper screws. Thinking surely, those lead screws must be on the bottom. Thankfully, it’s not a huge undertaking to fix this. PLEASE fix this image

Sorry about that, I’ve updated the images in the instructions. Thank you for letting us know!

Looks like this has been answered, but here is a pix of how I assembled mine.
