What are the wire specs for Maslow 4.1?
I am playing with a plan to move the computer pcb and wanted to double check
As far as I can tell If I wanted to extend the wires I would need to make or buy
4 JSTXH female to male 5 wire extension wires
2 z Motor wires extension female to male 4 wire What kind of connectors are these?
4 Arm motor wires extensions female to male 2 wire Whtat kind of connectors are these? what gauge?
It looks like I can buy a crimping tool and JSTXH end making kit. Would that also work for the motor wires?
Do these look like the right sorts of things to buy?
The motors use JST XH connectors as well. The motors don’t draw a ton of current, I can’t remember the exact gauge of wire used there, but something in the balpark of what is on there already should be good.
We just used PH on the stepper motors to make sure they couldn’t be confused with the encoder wires
For the XH wires, I used 22 gauge wire and had no issues, I think the originals are that or maybe a touch thicker.
I tried the crimping kits and found the cheap ones hit and miss - YMMV.
I found the easier thing for me was to buy the sets with tails and solder male-female and heat shrink them. It might depend how comfortable you are with soldering already?
I think I got these for the encoders for example:
Which was about the right length for relocating the board on the linear rail conversion.
