The maslow needs three files to operate.
the firmware.bin is the software that actually runs the maslow
the index.html.gz is the web UI that you see in the browser
the maslow.yaml file tells the firmware about the machine (where the anchors
are, but also how to talk to the motors and other critical details like that)
normally the maslow.yaml file should not need to be changed when you upgrade,
but the other two files both need to be updated at the same time to the same
version.

I tried to connect to CNC and download all the firmware and now my CNC interface is not showing up I guess something got deleted I wish I had a phone number to talk to someone because the machine is acting like it’s dead am I going to have to connect it to the computer and start the process with the first download again or please someone send me a number to call them to get a little bit better help
I think I just updated The firmware How can I check
Go to Setup Then Test. Below is a short video showing how to update files. I did not do the maslow.yaml as this only needs to be done rarely If required it can be done under the FluidNC tab then Green Manage Local Files Tab.
LoadUpdates.wmv (8.9 MB)
The cnc she’s getting stuck on the same spot doing the same thing nothing kind of rides like three movements and then it just stops and doesn’t want to work anymore what do I do I want to use my machine please
Can someone please send me a contact phone number or something
I think posting the log from this run and seeing if there are still any funky readings would be the next step.
Hi James,
I am in Australia so a bit hard to communicate directly. Can you put a copy of your Maslow.yaml file and the latest log file up.
Please check the following:
The maslow is set to horizontal
Can your belt ends pivot easily on the anchor? must be able to pivot.
can you measure the distance between anchor points TL to TR, BL to TL, BR to TR and the diagonals BL to TR and BR to TL where B is the side the power comes out of the maslow
(TL Top Left)
So I put that file the most recent one in the yellow folder app thing on the top
Need to post them here (latest Log file & maslow.yaml)
Hi James, I may be too late to help, but my maslow is not connected to my home internet wifi. I download the updates on my other computer that is connected to wifi and put them on a thumb drive. Then I copy them to the computer that controls the maslow. Once they are there, they have to be put on the maslow control card. You need to use the FluidNC interface to work with the files. First use the firmware update tab, and browse to the firmare.ini file (It should be in the directory where you copied it from the thumb drive). The maslow should do the rest to update the firmare.ini file. Then you may need to put the new maslow.yaml file onto the control card using the FluidNC interface. If you need to replace your old maslow.yaml file, you should rename the old file to maslowold.yaml. After uploading the new maslow.yaml file, you will need to do a re-calibration to allow the maslow to find the corners of your frame and enter the lengths into the new maslow.yaml file. After that You should follow the same procedure to update the new index.html.gz if the update requires it.
There is a video somewhere that shows how to update to firmware version 1.0 first, before you can upgrade to later firmware versions. Not sure if this applies to your machine. I had to do this for Maslow 4.0. (old controller card). After I did this, upgrading to later firmware versions went smoothly. You can use the thumb drive method for this initial upgrade also, but you have to follow the directions on the video exactly or the upgrade will fail. I believe the video is on You Tube. It is called “installing firmware 1.0 Installing firmware 1.0. I hope this helps.
