After anoter calibration, i get pass first top left corner, do the straight line then on the top right corner, same error
Tried another calibration, started again… pass first corner but got same error at the 3/4 of top line then same error

what is your frame size, what calibration size are you using, what is the
fitness score that you get, and what are the final anchor points figured out by
the calibration?

that is much too big a calibration grid

you need the calibration grid to stay in the green area, which is only 620mm
high. try doing a grid if 1800x600 (or possibly 1600x600)

with a workpice that size, you are going well into the white and green areas. In
those areas the arms are hitting the uprights on the sled and so the belt is not
making a straight line to the bit, as such the belt is shorter than the machine
thinks it is. This means that there is a lot more tension in the belts than the
machine is expecting, so it’s not that surprising that you are hitting the 4000
current limit.

the green area is not a hard boundry that you cannot exceed when cutting, but
the further outside of it you go, the more likely you are to run into grief.
It’s not a linear progreesion (i.e. x bad at 100mm outside, 2x bad at 200m
outside) it is a quadratic (i.e. x bad at 100m, 4x bad at 200m 16x bad at 400mm)

we have not done a lot of exploring of the cutting problems deep into the
red/white areas of the graph, so we don’t know where the limits are, and you are
very deep into those areas

thanks i will modify my workspace

right now im getting really bored of this, modified my workspace to put anchor 12in upper and lower (24in total) but the sled just wobble on calibration move or the bottom lift… nothing very good
help plz… maybe you will see a flying maslow 4 near quebec city

It’s okay. There are quite a few steps to get a working system, and at times it might seem like it will never work, but it sounds like you’re really close. It sounds like your sled is not moving smoothly during the calibration and possibly lifting off the surface. If it is doing that but it is moving between calibration points, that could indicate that the work surface your are running on is rough and it is hanging up. This might be improved by putting a smoother sheet under the sled and/or waxing the sled surface.

However, I am not really sure I am understanding what you are seeing, to let me ask a few questions.

  • If you have a bit installed, could it be dragging on the surface? If so, use the z axis controls to lift it a little.
  • When you calibrate, how far is it getting?
  • Are you getting any messages, particularly error messages?

it already worked on way smaller part, no wobble, no lifting, good calibration but i wanted to make bigger part, so i start a cut, went to error of exceed 4000… today i build bigger frame to get rid of this exceed error, used the frame builder of david lang, entered the good coordinate of new bigger frame, start the calibration… center point was good… then it goes down fine… go to left good but when he want to go up… it start to wobble, when the strap stretch for calibration point, the sled bottom lift for about 1/4 to 1/2 inch

what size calibration did you try this time?

if the sled is tipping during calibration, that means that it’s not sliding. you
can wax the bottom of the sled to help with that.

As it is being pulled, if the sled doesn’t slide properly, it will tilt and the
leading edge will dig in and the trailing edge will lift. To fix this make the
sled slide better (smoother workpiece or smoother sled, so waxing the sled
helps)

that’s still a problem with the sled not sliding
