Non-emergency stop

I feel like this must be a silly question and I’m doing it wrong. I was just jogging the Maslow 4 around and, while it was in motion, decided that was far enough (step size was 24 inches) and pressed stop. The machine indeed stopped moving, but the red LED started blinking and the web UI indicated it lost connection. Had to power cycle, retract belts, extend belts, start over…not a quick process as we know.

Is there a way to “soft stop” and not emergency stop so that I can continue using the machine without restarting? Both when running GCODE and moving around manually.
