Not Saving Belt Length Upon Reboot

I am having a heck of a time getting my Maslow up and running. Between constant disconnects and broken parts, I finally worked my way through all the issues to get the machine calibrated successfully. An alert showed on the top of my screen that the calibration was complete and it saved the information. I ran a test file with the router off and ensured that it was functioning properly. I then disconnected the Maslow by disconnecting it from my computer and then turning off the power switch. Later, I turned the Maslow back on and reconnected it. I tried to jog the machine and this showed up in my serial “Maslow does not know belt lengths. Please retract and extend before continuing.” I ran the whole calibration again, ran a test file, and then turned it off… Only to have the same message appear. Did I do something wrong in shutting it down? I am very mechanically able to solve problems but I am completely lost as to what is wrong. I have done the calibration process near 20 times to this point and yet to cut any parts. Any help would be much appreciated.

I believe you have to extend retract every power cycle. But only need to run full calibration if the frame changes.

I retracted all and nothing retracted because they are taught. I then did extend all and I tried pulling the belts (with modest effort) but they would not budge. Not sure if I need to pull harder to get them started? I am not following the logic of this though as the last known position should have been saved when powered off…

The position is not saved at power off, so when you power it on it doesn’t know
where the belts are. You have to disconnect from the anchors, retract fully (at
which point it knows where it is) then extend, attach and tension before you
start doing anything.

Oh… Thank you for the help! I just made the assumption that it saved the position.

This should be made a PSA. It was not made clear in the User Guide that this needs to be done. I also just saw that someone else posted the exact same thing as me just hours before.
