The stepper motor on one side will not raise at all. It can only move down. The other side works fine, but this continues not to work. I tried switching the ports as suggested in some other posts, but I had no luck. If anyone has a fix for this, it would be greatly appreciated.
I sure do have a fix for it! Unfortunately it is me sending you a new controller board. I will DM you a code for a free one right now
ok cool thank you
one last thing. is there anything i can try to fix it? it wouldn’t hurt to try and save it to have a backup

It seems as if the stepper controller chips are not reliably getting soldered to
the board. If you have the ability to reflow the solder joints you can try that.
Sometimes it works, sometimes people destroy the chip.

Reflowing the chips manually with a soldering iron worked for me a few weeks but eventually one of the z motors stopped working again so i swapped out the control board
