I modified the motor mounts to compensate for different material thickness. I cut slots in the 3/4" plywood base for 1/4" bolts and put threaded inserts in the frame for the bolts. I can now easily adjust for different material thickness.

I can’t say that the parallel adjustment has been a big pay off as I have not been using the Maslow for some time. I am going to start a new project soon, and will be using different thickness materials which will give the parallel adjustment a good test.
