Would it have value to have a beta testing thread, where any changes can be tested prior to releasing them, as an update by the more experienced (and brave) amongst us? This would help to identify any problems prior to releasing to everyone. I would envisage this as being open for anyone to test changes and then report success or failures of any changes with the ability to reverse back to a known good version of software.
