I’m asking this for two reasons, first, I couldn’t find any info on the store page or anywhere else for that matter on how long shipping might actually take. I ordered last week and the status is just “Confirmed”. I saw somewhere that tracking info won’t update until it reaches my country. I’m not in a hurry, it’d just be nice to have a rough idea, eg 2 weeks, 4 weeks etc.
And the other reason is I’m just excited to have one on the way hopefully soon, I’d like to set aside some time for playing with it when it arrives.
Trying to get a rough estimate on shipping time! Emailed Maslow yesterday but no response yet, would be good to have some kind of idea on a time estimate, or ideally a tracking code/status
Because of the tariff situation I’ve been trying to find a way to ship directly from China. If we import the machine to the US we pay tariffs coming into the US and then when we ship it back out of the US you end up having to pay tariffs when it arrives and the combination of those two can add a lot to the cost of the kit for international customers which isn’t fair.
Unfortunately we haven’t had much luck finding reliable shipping from China. They do ship and things do arrive, but the tracking for shipping from China is garbage and also they sometimes take like a week to get packages shipped out even with a lot of prompting.
I’m working on trying to find a better system, if anyone has any recommendations for shipping from China I would appreciate it!
For anyone searching, it shipped in about a week. I don’t remember trying the tracking code, but it came express once it arrived in Australia. Overall shipping was about 2 weeks, pretty good!
Have you got this figured out now? I am in Ottawa, Canada. I found a 4.0 for sale here in Canada but I would like to order the 4.0 to 4.1 upgrade pack for it. I really don’t want to pay the tariffs. I don’t mind waiting a few weeks for direct shipment from China.
Yes and no. I did set up shipping directly from China, but I am in the process of shutting it down.
I found that the tracking was very unreliable and they weren’t consistent with shipping things on time and responding to issues. Overall it just wasn’t a good solution.
The next thing that I am going to be trying is actually to do all international shipping out of Canada through a friend, but it’s going to take at least another month before we have kits in stock in Canada and starting out we’ll just be shipping the full kits from there. All of the other parts like the 4.1 upgrade kits will ship from the US to keep things simple.
