System requirements to run Ground Control

The settings are in the ground control.ini file in your users directory in Windows.

You can copy it from one machine to the other to move the settings stored in the file.

I’m unsure of what you mean by “Can’t also move settings page up and down, for some reason.”

I highly suggest not using Windows 7 as Microsoft has not supported it for over 2 years at this point and it has had no updates since it’s End Of Life.

What screen resolution are you at?

Thank you

The Settings page isn’t movable, but it will scroll with the a click-drag or scroll-wheel. Kivy is funny that way…

Resolution is 1600x900.
A funny thing happened also: running on battery only changed the lcd settings and would give the open GL version error. But not when the power supply is connected.

Settings pages wouldn’t scroll. Minimizing and maximizing again seems to have fixed it.
So everything seems to be running.

Thanks

Recently I saw a Download fail in windows when not connected to a power supply. Connecting to a wall power source. The OS is becoming an over protective mother. it makes me want to call someone a mother …

You should be able to well use a screen of this resolution with Ground Control.

Thank you

That’s an interesting insight, something we will have to add to the tree of troubleshooting questions.

Some laptops have multiple graphics cards internally. My guess is under some power modes it turns off the one that reports open GL compatibility. I think the last windows update did this. At least it started after the last update for me.
