How do you use a heat gun to repair the Z stepper motor on the Maslow circuit board? Any specific heat settings or amount of time to heat the board. I’m assuming I do this from the top and not the bottom? Anyone want to post a video?
Background: My 4.1 board is acting up again where the Z stepper motor only turns on one side. It is a replacement and was working great for several hours making lots of great cuts and cool stuff. Put it away and brought it back out. If I swap connectors, the opposite motor turns. I have a spare board and a spare 4.0 Maslow, so no issues with being able to cut. The last time I tried a repair, I used a heat gun from Home Depot. It melted a connector. I just ordered this instead: WEP 882D Soldering Iron Station 2-IN-1 SMD Hot Air Rework Station with 2 Spools of Solder Wire, 5 Soldering Tips, 3 Hot Air Nozzles, Brass Wool Tip Cleaner, Tweezers, Desoldering pump - Amazon.com Mainly trying this out of curiosity.
