1/4" bit in AEG MF 1400 KE Router?

Hi!
I bought a AEG MF 1400 KE router as recommended for EU. It was delivered with a 12mm collet and a 8mm collet.
Does anyone know where to get a 1/4" collet in Germany? Or is there an adapter?

For my Bosch I could buy metric and imperial from amazon(as)

PS: reducers (reduzierhuelsen) are not recommended for long term use.

Although I do not recommend this brand!

Check dictum(dot)com. It takes some searching, but you can find bits with 8mm shaft and ~ pehaps down to 4mm cut diameter.

You will be ok with a 6mm bit with an 8mm shank. It’s close enough, provided the cutting depth is sufficient to pass through the material you are cutting. The Ground Control software will allow you to specify the appropriate diameter.

While this link won’t be the best for Europe you can use a 12mm to 1/4" sleeve. Giggle one for your area

Hi The AEG MF 1400 KE router is a very expensive option in the UK. Is teh Bosh POF 1400 not any good?

Hi Martin. Had the same problem,

Because I’m from the Netherlands to, I tried different options which didn;t work/fit. All my bits were 1/2 or 1/4 inch…

I could not get a 1/2 inch or a 1/4 inch for my AEG which only European model is which fit in the Jessem Routerlift 2.

Somewhere I’ve read that a Triton Collet fits the AEG. I could get it from the German Amazon; guess what, it fits perfectly.

So if someone has the same problem; the Triton TRC120 and the Triton TRC 140 fits!
