Arm assembly related question

After the four arms have been stacked on the router and sandwiched between the router clamps, is it expected to have a 1/8" space above the top arm and the top router clamp? With this space, the weight of the drive motor is causing the arm to lift upward on the opposite side. Basically the arm is sitting on a bit of a diagonal plane, Photos below:

yes, there is about a 3mm 1/8" gap
