I have been trying to get my M4 up and running. I keep running into the issue of my belts not extending far enough to reach the corners of my frame. I need them to extend to about 82" (2060mm) and they are only making it to 67" (1700mm). I have followed the guide where I configure, retract all, and then extend all and I am getting the same issue. I have also tried increasing the extend distance and it does not change it. Anyone have a solution?
Thereās a config option for how much to extend your belts, the default is 1700, which of course you need to change.

Thanks - however that number would have been less than what I was trying. I did find these settings and updated them for my frame size. That seemed to do the trick.

@bar I was adjusting the āextend distanceā setting. I tried 2060, 2200, 3000, and 4000. No matter what I put in it wouldnāt get past the 67ā.
Which firmware version are you using?

That is for both the index.html file and for the firmware?
The behavior that you are describing seems to me like it could potentially be caused by an updated index.html file but an older firmware version
I had this too and can confirm it was the Fluid NC firmware which was still on older version. I also struggled to update it trying several power only cables until the right cable was used.
I tried this, and now when i hit āapply tensionā, two of the belts donāt move. it was working fine before i changed the extend size.
Which two belts is it which arenāt moving? Is it the top two (away from the power cord)? Only the lower two belts should move when applying tension.
The top two pull ever so slightly. The bottom two never pull tight. I changed it back to 1700 and now it can apply tension again, but the TL and BR belts are very tight at that distance to where after I extend all, I have to pull on one of them to get it to go over the post to attach it to the frame.
I updated to v1.07 after doing the 4.1 arm upgrades, and re-did calibration. After this is when the belts started not extending quite enough.
with current firmware versions, you tell it how far to extend.
with earlier versions, it estmated based on the frame size you specified, if the
frame wa not square enough, it would be short on the long diagonal.

@dlang is right there is a setting now for how long you want the belts to extend. I think they extend 1500mm by default but you can change that to be any distance you would like.
